Winners of JLUGs very first contest....

Firstly I would like to take a minute to thank the membership for posting such great entries to our first ever contest and a thank you to those of you that took the time to vote on the poll.
The voting by both members and by the judges was very close, which is proof to me that many of you did an amazing job.

Secondly, I would like to thank Ross C, Bob K, Eric B, Sande G, and Andy C for being judges, as well as a thank you to Larry P, Ross C and Andy C for offering up prizes for this contest as well.

How can I enter to win one of the awesome prizes????

Enter your MOC by sending the link of pictures of your submission.....
via E-mail or posting in the "Pool Hall" within the JLUG forums.
(Please note: To post in the forums you have to be a registered user to do this)

When does the contest start and end?

The contest will open Feb 8th and will end on April 30th, 2005. This date is firm. There will be no extensions.
All winners will be decided by a panel of judges and will be announced by the end of the first week of May.
The judges decision is final, and arguments will result in taunts and derision.

What has been entered so far?

What are the rules?

There are NO RULES, but there are some "limitations"

- The MOC must be your own creation and not previously posted on the Internet.

- It should be something that represents yourself or where you live or what you enjoy.
Yes, this is leaving it wide open!
It can be as simple as a custom fig that represents you....
or as complicated as a version of the city you live in.
It can be your favourite food, your favourite band, something that interests you, etc.....
Truly whatever you like.
It can be a sculpture, mosaic, diorama etc. and any theme, or sub-theme is allowed..

- You are only limited by your own time, bricks (or computer generating/cading skills) and creativity

- If you want to modify a part or two, add custom stickers, paint etc, more power to you.
Keeping in mind the finished MOC should at least have the appearance that it is made of bricks.

- You may enter as many times as you like. You do not have to be a member of the forums to participate.

The contest will be judged on but may not be limited to the various qualities...
- creativity
- originality
- interesting or new use of parts
- pleasing use of colour

If I win, what's the catch?

- Winners will have to provide their mailing address so their prize can be sent to them
(postage will be covered by the JLUG). 1st place winner will get 1st choice of prize.

- Winners must agree to allowing the JLUG to post their creation with credit given to the builder.

We are looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
